Flash isn't coming to iPhone anytime soon.
Apple's too stubborn and basically aside from watching cool flash ads, who cares? How many sites that you go to everyday actually need flash to work?
There's the basic answer.
Yes, the original post was made almost a year ago, and time seems to agree that flash won't be on the iPhone soon.
